A programme for strategic leaders: emergent leadership in a messy world

Are you looking to understand how to lead at your board and strategic level but find most development focuses on processes and structures? Do you feel the leadership courses available to you are not tailored to your specific needs as a strategic leader? Then this might be the programme for you.
What is it?
Are you tired of talking about leadership as a concept and not about what it means for you as a strategic leader? Do you want the space to determine what it means for you to lead in today’s messy and volatile world?
What do I get?
This is not any old training course; this is an immersive experiential retreat. You will have space to reflect on the leader you are and the leader your organisation needs. You will explore strategies to support your leadership when under pressure. In practical settings you can see what works. We offer no hacks and no short cuts, as we know leadership cannot run by algorithm.
We will help you understand how to build the relationships within and across boards. All with the clarity of direction and speed of decision making needed to meet the today's demands.
This programme brings focus to delivering clarity of purpose. And what it takes to anchor the culture needed by your strategic leadership teams.
This is an inclusive environment with thoughtful leadership teaching. Compassionate leadership and upward communication have major cultural impacts. Learning how to harness culture, rather than letting it control you, is at the heart of this programme.

Who will be facilitating?
Myself and John Sutherland. John has vast experience leading at Board level both in domestic and international organisations. He has studied and written on culture and both the responsibilities of strategic leaders and the reasons it goes wrong.
Who is this for?
Senior leaders serving on boards. This includes Executive and Non-executive and those operating at equivalent levels. The delegate group is small so as to enable high value exchanges and reflection.
Where is it?
Holne Park House, Devon — set in the heart of the River Dart Country Park. The venue and its surroundings encourage safe learning, open exchange, and deep reflection.
